From fired to hired in a week
I got a job I didn't apply for
I lost my job 2 weeks ago, abruptly. Sack is that way, no send-forth party, no hints, they just ask you to leave and lock you out of your Gmail accounts as if y'all are fighting.
The back story a lot of people do not know is that I got a job offer 2 weeks earlier from another company, and was even interviewed, but I didn’t take them seriously-I don’t take organizations seriously until they show an acceptable form of commitment. (contracts etc)
So when I lost my job, It didn’t feel like I had an opportunity in the corner. I wasn’t scared, I wasn’t on my toes, I just wanted to sleep. Friends were asking what’s next? And sending job openings my way. I really appreciated that but I am not the person who hops from activity to activity as it’s emotionally unhealthy. I really just wanted to sleep.
2 days later I got positive feedback on my interview, and 1 week from sack day, I was sent a seamless onboarding process (my boss is terrific) and my contract.
I Didn’t apply for this job
In my book I talk about the importance of being in community. That was what was at play here. Someone found me on a career group; thanks to my talkative and contributing self, and made me an amazing offer. I am so grateful to God for his miracles and hope that this encourages you to apply all the tips I share with you continually.
Keep at it till it works.
Lessons
Don’t commit to a brand that hasn’t shown reasonable commitment to you (this is also free relationship advice)
To grow in your career, join groups; look for them on facebook and participate, don’t just go job hunting.
Something you can ask a friend dealing with job loss “What do you need now?” it gives them an opportunity to share how they want to be cared for in that moment.
Have an amazing week!

You're wired for great things. Congratulations!
A wonderful testimony. Thanks for sharing and congratulations on the new job 🙌.
